SECU Family House is a hospitality house for long-term patients who are undergoing medical treatment at UNC Hospitals and their caregivers. During their stay, the House serves as a home away from home. The fellowship patients and families find at Family House brings comfort and stability in a time of great stress.

The House staff has learned many ways of creating quiet moments of reflection within its spaces. This past December, the House launched the Daniel X. Kelley Memorial Gallery, a rotating themed collection of art by NC artists. The first show was called Food Is Love.

In my MEJO 371 class, I was tasked with writing the didactic wall panel for the gallery wall that opens the exhibit. It can be seen below.
