My Protest Project: The Benefits of Arts Education
I chose to focus my project around the importance of arts education, and more specifically, why funding for arts programs in public schools shouldn’t be cut.

I chose to focus my project around the importance of arts education, and more specifically, why funding for arts programs in public schools shouldn’t be cut.
I was, and will always be, a proud band kid to my core.
These are my three favorite pieces I’ve learned from “The French Book.”
“There is no theory. You have merely to listen.”
Even in the midst of the pandemic, which wasn’t enjoyable for a lot of us, these car concerts helped me find a little bit of joy in days that seemed nearly joyless.
One side is used, often intentionally, to make you better in the long run. The other is used, often intentionally, to hurt you.
My first day of high school was one I’ll never forget.
You could say “Area 3” was a stark contrast to orchestra rehearsal.
I perform not only for others, but for my younger self. To let her know she’s always been capable, even when she didn’t feel that way. And I’ll continue to push myself, and my limits, for her. She is bound by nothing.
Even my parents raised a brow – and they’re meticulous, so that’s saying something. Lessons were grueling.
